Hairless cats have been known for generations; the Aztecs are said to have kept hairless cats. The Sphynx cat is the first hairless cat breed that has been bred specifically for that trait. The breeding programme began in 1966 in Ontario, Canada when a pet cat gave birth to a hairless male kitten. However, most Sphynx cats born today are descended from three hairless kittens found in Toronto in 1978.

The Sphynx cat is outgoing, mischievous, people-orientated and loves attention. These cats often greet their owners when they come home and are very talkative. They are highly intelligent, playful and cuddly. Sphynxes are champion purrers. They like to sleep with their owners – under the covers. Their body temperature is a degree or two above the average for normal cats and they have voracious appetites to compensate for the heat loss. With little protection against the elements, these cats cannot be left out in the cold, they don’t like to sit on cold surfaces and they do appreciate central heating! Those that do go outside in the sun may need sun protection on pale skin.

The breed is prone to skin problems including the development of rashes and fungal infections. Care must be taken to protect the Sphynx cat from sunburn. As with all cats, Sphynx cats benefit from protection against disease through vaccination and need annual veterinary health checks.

While this breed is not widely recognised as one of the best breeds for children, all cats are different and with the proper familiarisation may still be able to live with children.

Owners must pay meticulous attention to keeping the Sphynx cat’s skin clean and supple. The skin needs to be bathed or sponged every week to remove its oily secretions. The oily secretions must also be cleaned from the outer ear on a regular basis to prevent ear infections.

Ship by Airlines Shipping is available to Distant Families . Shipping charges vary depending upon location. Shipping costs include air fare, the Kitten’s shipping crate (pet taxi), vet health certificate and a puppy care packet. The packet includes a bag of the Kitten’s food that he/she is accustomed to and Kitten care information. Delivery is typically counter to counter service. Puppies will travel in a pressurized compartment that’s temperature controlled. The cost of shipping by airlines is $120.00 – $200.00 depending on destination and airlines. – Ship by Specialized Ground Service You also have the option of having your Kitten delivered by van right to your doorstep using a Pet Transport service that delivers to all destinations in the continental U.S. Cost for this service varies for distance and location. This is the most expensive of the two ways to get your Kitten delivered.
Shipping a Kitten by itself to a new location always sounds cruel and embarrassing, but actually it is not esp with based USA airlines. With my many years of shipping experience, I know for a fact that all of the Kittens are well taken care of. So if you stop and think about it, the airlines are not going to mistreat the Kitten(s) for fear of lawsuit and customer dissatisfaction. I tape Kitten(s) food and feeding instructions to the top of the crate and put frozen water in the crate, so it will gradually thaw out for the Kitten(s) and the Kittens are offered food along the ride. The average flight is approximately 4 to 7 hours. I always ask about any delays or layovers and know the exact times and departures of the flights, so I know where the Kitten is and am able to give you the information as well. If you decide on a Kitten, We will guarantee as we have for yrs that he/she will arrive safe and sound. Kittens can be shipped safely between 20 and 85 degrees–AA rules. All Kittens ride in the belly of the plane where the temperature is kept at a comfortable 70 degrees same as for the passengers and they are the last on and first off the plane. Shipping during this time of year is completely safe and there is no problem so we need not to be afraid about that. Just like a person getting on a flight to go meet their relatives and/or friends for the holidays, shipping a Kitten is very similar and probably even a little easier. The only thing different about this time of year is that the airlines can be strict on the minimum temperature at each location (which is really good for the kitten(s) even though the plane is always kept at 70 degrees. We believe it is mainly for their liability and protection. Likewise, in the summertime–they will not ship if temperatures are too hot along the way. If this is the case, we will just wait for the next best day to ship or ship earlier or later in the day to combat the hot/cold part of the day. NB * Most shippers SPECIALIZED in shipping pets will use a temperature regulation crate called an electronic crate. These type of crates are used anytime since they can regulate the temperature to the one best for the Kitten(s) travel
Yes, you are always welcome to travel over to pick up your puppy after purchase and usually traveling with your Kitten in most Airlines requires no additional fee for flying with a Kitten apart from personal flight fee. Nevertheless, Some Airlines demand an extra fee anyway.
Do not give your new Kitten any vaccines within the first 14 days of arrival. Your new Kitten is all up to date on shots before living our home and will not need a vaccine for at least weeks.
Delivery of your Kitten will be in different categories depending on your location for customers in USA and Canada will take 6 to 8 hours special. Note to the EU area will take 20 to 30 hours after the payment of your Kitten because we have to process the transfer of ownership documents to your Names. While for customers out of USA and Canada it will take between 2 to 3 day’s for delivery to your house address. For customers out of Europe it will take between 4 to 5 day’s for you to have the Kitten at your house address. After the transfer of ownership documents to your names we are going to provide you with the shipping tracking number to always check and know the time your Kitten will arrive home. The agency will also contact you by phone or email depending on your request.
